19 Kislev

י״ט כסלו

By Rav Avitan

This date is very special, it's one of the dates in the Jewish calendar that has a promise for all of Am Yisrael, that on this day, with Hashem's help he can receive good news. From where do we learn this? First off this date falls out of Tuesday this year, Tuesday, from the Torah has a statement Ki tov- for it is good, twice. Second, about 800 years ago lived a holy Tzaddik by the name of Rabi Yaakov HaLevi. This Rav wrote a book called Shoot Min Hashamyim. He was a Kabbalist, and would often do fasts and minyans, and before he would go to sleep he'd ask Hashem a question, and in his dreams, Hashem would answer him.

We don't hold halacha - Jewish Law by what the heavenly court says (for it says Torah lo b'shamayim he - The Torah is not in the heavens). He's the only Posek that we do hold by his ruling, even though he had received his answers from Heaven. Because the people knew that he was holy of hollies, and that Hashem sent him the answers to his Halachic questions, and therefore followed his ruling.

19th of Kislev is a day of Good News

He writes in his sefer the following:

Hashem told me, that the 19th of Kislev is a day of News (there is probably a better word to translate it as, but I'm going on the phrase Besuros tovos - Good news) for the nation of Yisrael.

This dream was on Tuesday.

The Magid of Mezeritch passed away on the 19th of Kiselv

About 550 years later, a tzaddik by the name of Rabbi Dov Ber - The Magid of Mezeritch, passed away on the 19th of Kiselv. The Ba'al Shem Tov and Rabi Nachman of Beslev said of this Tzaddik that his Neshama was made up of all the neshamos of Klal Yisrael. This special and holy Tzaddik was the Rebbe of many great Tzaddikim, some of the students names off the top of my head were: The Noam Elimelech, The Chozeh of Lublin, Rabi Levi of Bardichev....

Years later, the student of the Magid, The Baal HaTanya said that the 19th of Kislev is a day of News, this continues the promise that the Holy Rabi Yaakov HaLevi said, that anyone that makes a request to Hashem on this day he will receive his news on this day.

How do we receive this abundance on this special day?

Monday night: light a candle for the hilula of Rabi Dov Ber, the Maggid of Mezeritch, give some tzedaka on the Tzaddiks behalf. Read this writing of the Maggid, (see below). Then say to Hashem...

Hashem you gave us a promise through these holy Tzaddikim,  that the 19th of Kislev is an auspicious day and that we should make our request on this day. Please help me that this day becomes a day of Besura- news... that I can find my soulmate, peace at home, financial abundance, health, children, healthy children and relationships with them.... ANYTHING you need.

Don't let this auspicious day, that is a promise to bring good news to individuals that pray on this day, to pass.

Not only should you take advantage of this day, but please let others know of this special day, so that they too can take advantage of this day and pray for all their needs. We create a vessel to receive the good that we are asking for by lighting a candle, giving charity, reading a Torah though written by the the Tzaddik (that's how we connect to Tzaddikim) and praying for our needs. That's how Hashem can send down the blessings to us on this day, through all of these actions."

Please feel free to share this with as many people as possible.

Translation Likitei Yikkarim

It is essential that one’s entire connection and focus centers on Hashem only and not first on the world, and then on Hashem.

And this is how a person will merit to separate the klippos from upon him, because the klippos darken and separate him from Hashem and causes darkness which closes our eyes to seeing Hashem.

And one should contemplate on Hashem’s Ein sof surrounding all the worlds and His flow of abundance is coming from above to below through all the worlds via the channels/pipelines; and, as a result we can walk with Hashem.

We would’t be able to move without this shefa (flow) and His life giving force. And also constantly contemplate how Hashem is next to you with a sense of feeling aflame and deeply connected to Hashem hislahavus and deveikus.

A person who is attached to Hashem as it is fitting, he should put in effort in whatever he wants, and he should look upon this that he isn’t looking at anything else but at Hashem. The main thing is that he should always go in simcha especially at the time of speaking!! Because without simcha it’s impossible to be attached to Hashem!!

It’s a big attribute of a person, a great level of a person, that he can think he is next to Hashem and that Hashem envelops him on all sides. And he is so attached that he doesn’t need to remind himself of this fact each time. He should see Hashem in his mind’s eye. And Hashem is the place of the world. And Hashem was before creation of this world so he isn’t after the worlds’ creation. The world exists because of Hashem. The main focus is on Hashem.

“This date of י״ט כסלו is a day that holds so much power , it’s the day that the Ravatz was released from prison. This day allows for us to break free of our own prisons mentally emotionally our fears and realize instead our enormous potential to be our best selves and serve H-shem!”
-EZ

Blessings to all for a day of healing and love and geula.
