Yisroela: I have to say though that I’m happy I’m not alone How do we convince?

Pray! 🙌🏻 Hope! Visualize!
It works! I have seen and experienced miracles!

Hi all. I’ve been listening to rabbi Anava for years. In fact I remember listening to one of his shiurim - while I was still living in Montreal. Up until that time I had a burning yearning to go to Israel. Everyday I would cry. And beg my husband. It seemed impossible. Parnassa. He was established. Life was good. Why rock our boat??? I just had to leave. It was actually painful for me. Then in one shiur Rabbi Anava said - and I’m paraphrasing — hecsaid that he did not even want to travel to America anymore to fundraise. He said there will come a point in time when TRAVEL TO ERETZ YISRAEL WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE. he said he did not want to be stuck in chutz. I heard this and that was a new impetus that I needed. I started all the paperwork - without my husband knowing. And then it steam rolled. There were so many variables that fell into place - quickly. And so many seeming obstacles that kept trying to block my path. When I finally left - after what seemed a hurricane - I breathed a huge sigh of relief on the plane. As if I managed to untangle the tendrils of something that was clinging onto me for dear life. Life here has been nothing that I expected it to be. In 5 years my kids have become Dati lite. My husband and I are still as frum ( hopefully moreso than before) but our kids are seemingly afloat in their own ships. It’s very hard. But I don’t feel their ships are sinking, just not going in the exact same direction as us right now. This has been very hard to adjust too. But on the other hand - our kids are fluent in Hebrew , have tons of friends, love going on tiyulim here, will often go daven at the kotel - just because. Love and connect to this land. They are all extremely Indépendant. It’s not perfect- but I choose to focus on the good. I know HaShem has a plan. The other thing that has been difficult has been that my husband has been miserable. Yes. For many different reasons. Probably the biggest being the kids not turning out as picture perfect as he would’ve liked. But it’s more complicated than that. So for 5 years - I have carried my family. Literally. I have had to be the rock. And don every hat you could imagine. I am really exhausted. But I want to tell you all something. I feel HaShem so closely in my life. I know all these situations are growth opportunities. Which I am taking advantage of. If you showed me s snapshot of what lay a head for me - I would’ve shuddered. But I would do it all again. I never want to set a tie out of Israel. I feel safe here. I feel loved here. And not because I have tons of friends and family. No. It because I feel H-shems presence here. HaShem is everywhere. But here it’s tangible. Dont be afraid. You only get what you can handle. Every struggle here is just preparing us for the next stage. I’ve been humbled, and my ego has been pummelled. I’m still a work in progress.

But I beseech you to just get everything in order - so that IF things get crazy quickly - you can just leave. And if you have nothing keeping you there except your creature comforts - those could eventually become a noose. Have a plan. This land thrives on its Yehudim. It is really not easy. But it is really so worth it.

I recently made Aliyah with my wife and 5 kids five months ago. It was before the Corona virus pandemic. BH I had a new house, great job making a lot of money, lived near our family and a great life. After visiting Israel a couple of times within two years prior to my Aliyah, I start to feel this sense of emptiness in USA. I made a rash decision and discussed with my wife my yearn to move to Israel. She answered me that I was out of my mind, but would consider to move as long as I don’t run away from any of my problems, rather I must solve all my problems prior to our move. It took me two years to accomplish that goal of resolving any issues in which I had and BH we were zoche to move here. When asked why I decided to move my whole family to Israel, I answer with my truth, “My Neshama is in Israel”. It might be hard to understand that, but that is the truth. My wife was still uncertain if we should make this move permanent, but with the Corona virus pandemic along with the growing anti-semitism it was clear to us that we have made the right move and don’t plan on moving back to NY. I’m proud to say that since I’ve moved here I’ve been seeing hashkacha pratit on a daily basis. Hashem has made it his business to reveal himself to me through so many acts of kindness. I’ve shared my brief story so that you all can have a sense of hope as my wife and I have given up a great life thinking, not realizing that we were entering the best life. There are some things that people should learn prior to moving. It is a culture shock, and moving to Israel comes with many yesourin’s, but the benefits outweigh it all. I’ve done diligent research and can advise if it’s beneficial to make formal Aliya(become Israeli) or if it’s in your best interest to live here on an American visa or not. I’m extremely connected and can for sure help anyone whom have questions.

Hi everyone, my friend Rochel Weinman added me to this group, my name is Devorah Benarroch and I live in RBS Alef. I made Aliyah when I was single at 35, through Nefesh B Nefesh. I had no idea how I was going to make a living, I had taken a job with Aish Hatorah. 5 days after I arrived I was set up on a shidduch date (long story but I'm Bali Tshuva) anyway we got married 3 months later, B'H" we built a life here! Neither my husband or I have family here and that is tough, but I always felt we were sent ahead to plant roots in our Homeland! I would never move back, it's an adjustment, but it's HOME! It can be done if your open to uncertainty and fulfilling a dream! Don't focus on the money, and stay positive! Feel free to PM me to ask any questions. I have 4 kids in 4 different schools, ranging in age from 9-14.

Thank you for welcoming me into this beautiful group. Living in Los Angeles, we dreamed of Aliyah - and when our 1st daughter was born we gave her the middle name 'Aliyah.' Ten years later, with G-d's help, we were able to fulfill this beautiful mitzvah. The hashgachah pratit is a miracle to share - please enjoy this Aliyah story and you're welcome to be in touch. https://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Aliyah-stories-Los-Angeles-to-Central-Israel-618218

Many people have asked how do we know its the right thing to make Aliyah, and are waiting for the rabbis to take the responsibility to tell them its time to go.....its a REALLY DIFFICULT DECISION. I know because Ive been back and forth so many times! Bh we made Aliyah in september of this year. We are so thankful to hashem for the zechut to live here! My advice is to take one step at a time, and tune into the answers hashem is sending you. We started working on our aliyah in september of last year not knowing if this would ever happen. We just kept taking each step and watching if hashem is opening the doors for us or not. Until my husband who really didnt want to move could no longer deny that the arrows of success were pointing to Eretz Yisroel! So instead of thinking i need to decide and then take the steps to make it happen. Do the opposite. Take the steps send it up to hashem to carry and allow the unravelling of amazing surprises to happen! Feel free to pm me. Sending you love and strength.
